No Experience Needed!

We welcome everyone, regardless of their curling experience. Whether you're a complete novice or a seasoned curler, our friendly and professional instructors will ensure that you have a fantastic time on the ice.

Don't miss the chance to bond with your group, create lasting memories, and experience the excitement of curling at the Vancouver Curling Club. 

Participants aged 11 and under must wear a helmet. Please note that helmets are not provided by Vancurl.

Curling Event Rental Features:

  1. 30 Minutes of Instruction: Receive expert guidance and safety tips from curling instructors.

  2. 1.5 Hours of Guided Games: Enjoy 1.5 hours of fun and competitive curling games led by our instructors.

  3. All Necessary Curling Equipment: We provide brooms, sliders, and stones.

  4. Curling Instructors: Experienced instructors ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Our licensed lounge is also available to reserve for 2 hours of full bar service by rental groups. Please select the add-on option "Using Lounge?" when creating your booking. Reservations are required to use the lounge and are free on weekends (Hillcrest) and after 5pm on weekdays (Hillcrest/Marpole).

Vancurl food menu is available during the lounges kitchen hours.

All participants are required to sign a safety waiver before stepping onto the ice. This waiver can be found on your events invoice and shared with all participants or completed onsite at our facility.

Participants should wear warm clothes as the ice can get as low as 5 degrees Celsius, pants that do not reduce mobility, warm gloves, and clean athletic shoes are recommended. 

Please arrive for your event 15 minutes before your scheduled start time to get equipment on and receive a brief safety talk.

Do we need equipment?

Please Bring clean running shoes.

Your rental includes all other required equipment; grippers, brooms, sliders, delivery stabilizers, and delivery sticks if required.

Participants aged 11 and under must wear a helmet. Please note that helmets are not provided by Vancurl.

About VCC

The Vancouver Curling Club is located at Hillcrest Centre in the facility that hosted the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games curling competitions. With eight sheets of ice in a modern, bright and accessible building, the VCC has over 1,700 members who participate in 28 weekly leagues.

The Vancouver Curling Club acknowledges that we operate on the traditional territories of the Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh, and Squamish First Nations who lived here before us and continue to live here.
