Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, VCC is unable to offer facility rentals for the 2020-2021 season.  We hope to have our facility back open to the public beginning September 2021.

To Book a Rental

  • For ice rentals: decide the number of people you have in your group and the number of sheets you require.  You will need one sheet of ice for every eight people.
  • Have a few available date and time options ready.

  • Complete the Rental Request form by clicking on the link below, providing as much detail about your rental needs.

  • Once your rental request form has been received, and availability has been confirmed, you will receive an agreement and invoice by email.
  • Please review and sign the agreement and provide payment to confirm your rental date and time.  If payment is not received, the date and time will remain open for others to rent.
  • Once payment is received you will receive a payment receipt by email.
  • All participants are required to sign a waiver prior to stepping onto the ice. Save time and download/ fill-out the group waiver form prior to your event (make sure to bring it with you! or email it to Shirley Mann: [email protected] in advance). Select either the group waiver form or the waiver for minors.


Frequently Asked Questions

Why is there so little ice availability in the evenings? Vancouver Curling Club has 1400 members. During the season leagues play each week in the evenings and all day Sunday.

How much does it cost to curl? One sheet of ice, an accredited coach and all equipment required costs $260 (plus gst) for two hours.

How many people can curl at one time? One sheet of ice supports eight people, or two teams of four.  If you have 48 people who want to curl you would need six sheets of ice.

Do we need to bring equipment? No. All equipment: brooms, sliders and grippers are provided and covered in the cost.

What should I wear? Wear clean, flat running shoes to provide you will good balance on the ice. Dress in comfortable layers that can be removed once you start sweeping and working up a sweat! Click here for info about acceptable clothing and safety rules for being on the ice.

How do we learn to curl? You will have an accredited coach teaching you the basics of curling: delivering a stone, sweeping and game play in a safe, supportive environment.

Do we need a coach? Yes, to ensure your safety, teach you the basics of curling and how to treat the ice with care. One coach is needed for each sheet of ice.

Can kids curl? Absolutely! Children ages eight years and older are welcome to curl.

Can we have a drink after our curling experience? Enjoying a beer after a game is central to the curling experience. You are welcome to have a drink if the lounge is open (5:15 pm weeknights, 11:00 am Sunday). Or rent the lounge and a bartender to have the lounge to yourself, contingent on availability.
