VCC curlers made BC high school championship playoffs

The Van Tech girls' team earned a playoff spot at the BC high school championships in Winfield, March 4-7, after finishing the pool round robin with a 4-0 record. The team is skipped by Jensen Taylor (left) and her sister Chelsea (second from left) is third. They are daughters of VCC curler Suzanne Malfair and finished runner-up at this year's BC junior championship. Maddy Roberts (second from right) and Mira Peregud (right) both curl in the VCC junior and high school programs. The Van Tech team lost a semi-final against Sands Secondary from Delta. Another VCC curler, Lincoln Macdonald, was on the Eric Hamber boys' team that finished with a 2-2 record, missing the playoffs.
