Be active, be social, and have fun while learning how to curl!

This 4 week program focuses on providing individuals with disabilities foundational technical skills in the areas of the delivery, strategy, and communication. CAN Curl More sessions will be adjusted to accommodate all individual levels of ability. * Signing instructor will be there for the first 3 dates of the program.

By the end of the program individuals will feel confident integrating into other curling programs and activities being offered throughout the 2023-24 curling season. Each week will have an assigned theme, beverages, and snacks, for everyone to socialize after going on the ice.

  • Coaching: provided for all participants
  • Equipment: we will provide throwing sticks, sliders, cleaning cloths, and brooms for all participants.

What to wear/bring Please dress warmly with layers and comfortable clothing to adjust to the temperature in the ice area and for delivering curling rocks. Bring or wear a clean pair of running shoes to wear out on the ice. Individuals must bring their own wheelchair or powerchair to the event. Individuals must have a support person to assist them on the ice.

About VCC

The Vancouver Curling Club is located at Hillcrest Centre in the facility that hosted the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games curling competitions. With eight sheets of ice in a modern, bright and accessible building, the VCC has over 1,700 members who participate in 28 weekly leagues.

The Vancouver Curling Club acknowledges that we operate on the traditional territories of the Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh, and Squamish First Nations who lived here before us and continue to live here.
