Point Grey
Welcome to the information page for the Point Grey League! Are you ready for the 2010-2011 curling season to begin? Our first night of play is September 29, 2010 and it is a late draw. It will be a night to have a few short games, practice sliding and sweeping again, and pay your fees. Please bring a cheque for your season fees in the amount of $300 (This includes the Vancouver Curling Club Membership and Capital Development Fees). We will have a 50/50 draw, so bring your toonies! The Skips meeting will be at 8:00 pm in the lounge to determine teams.
The following week, regular league play will commence on October 6, 2010 with the early draw at 6:45. The schedule for the first half will be posted soon, so check back once teams have been chosen. Please note that no personal information of PGCC members will be posted here.
Draw Times We play on Wednesday nights alternating between 6:45pm and 9pm.
Our History The Point Grey Curling Club started at the UBC curling rink in 1984. After it was torn down in 1993, the Club relocated to the Vancouver Curling Club at 4460 Dinmont near Nat Bailey Stadium.
Our Teams and Our League Our teams are picked at random twice a year so you don't need to have a team to come play with us. Curlers of all ages and ability are welcome. This is a mixed, social, non-competative league. If you are interested in playing with us, please contact us so we can do our best to accomodate new members.
Are you interested in sparing for our league? Please contact us to be placed on our spare list. Also note that if you spare more than 5 times in total at the VCC, you will be required to pay a yearly membership due.
