The Vancouver Curling Club (VCC), located in the Hillcrest Centre recreational complex, offers a unique opportunity for the right candidate to join an innovative team dedicated to operating a world-class curling facility.

The VCC is a nonprofit association committed to the development of its more than 1,100 members and thousands of annual visitors/guests through the provision of high quality on-ice and off-ice experiences and learning opportunities. The combined efforts and dedication of staff, volunteers and elected Board members result in a warm and welcoming atmosphere in a state-of-the-art facility, a legacy of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

      Future Opportunities

      The Club generally posts here for its annual hourly staff team that help operate the Last Draw Lounge and the Ice Shed. All of our team is currently in place for the 2014-2015 season, but short summaries of the positions are posted below:

      Lounge Servers

      The VCC is currently seeking a part-time Lounge Server for shifts Sunday through Friday, and as required for special events on Saturday to start immediately until the end of April 2015.
      Reporting to the Lounge Manager, Servers will be responsible to tend the bar, prepare meals, maintain the cleanliness of the Upper Lounge and kitchen, and provide excellent customer service to members.

      Bartending experience and Serving It Right are required. Some cooking experience and Food Safe are assets but not required.

      Junior Ice Technicians

      Working with the Ice Shed Manager, the Junior Ice Technicians are responsible for the day-to-day preparation of the curling ice as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the Club during their working hours. Junior Ice Techs also help out in the lounge or Pro Shop if needed and assist the Ice Shed Manager with regularly scheduled ice maintenance.
